I WANT TO DO A MITZVAH PROJECT
TO HELP ETHIOPIAN JEWS

BUT, WHAT CAN I DO?

Sample Card

Sell beautiful cards to neighbors, family and friends to raise money for Ethiopian Jewish children. Each card has a different Ethiopian Jewish scene. Each pack contains 4 unique designs. Click here to view all four designs.

Create a "THON". Raise funds through a basketball dunk-a-thon, bike-a-thon, or other types of "thon". Arrange for relatives, friends and classmates to sponsor you for a set fee each time you are able to perform the chosen activity.

Design and set out, or sell, tzedakah (charity) boxes. NFTY made these for Shalom Ethiopia: The Million Quarter Project, which raised over 1 million quarters.
Click image for full size pdf.

Make and sell stickers to paste to lunch bags, saying, “Don’t Eat Alone”. Each sticker buys an Ethiopian child lunch for a day. Or, have your school lunch program offer to add $1 a day to meals to feed Ethiopian Children. Sharon Halper developed this project.

Sell anything you want to make, proceeds going to help feed Jewish children in Ethiopia, or to educate Ethiopian children in Israel. Miriam Krule baked challas.
